6 Ways To Break Free From Poser Christianity

1.  "Be Transparent."
This is freeing in so many ways because it keeps the Kingdom law of humility working in your life and the power of God always on display. Christians don’t need perfect expectations to live up to, they need to see imperfect people being made perfectly into the image of Christ by Almighty God. This happens when we are no longer afraid to discuss our struggles.

2.  "Fail Well."
When you miss the mark, learn from it fast. Get help quickly. Wisdom belongs to those who fear God enough to go to Him when they get it wrong. Repent, admit, and quit. Those who fail well overcome because they realize quickly the path that leads to life and get back on it. “The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again.” – Proverbs 24:16

3.  "Be a Life Poured Out."
Jesus went about doing good healing all who were oppressed in His day. Are you modeling Christ in the way you are serving others? Who are you discipling? Being a Christian is breaking out of the four church walls and being fully deployed in the Earth to help humanity so that others can experience the love and power of God.

4.  "Don’t Be A Glory Thief."
When God elevates you, honor Him. Be careful not to lose sight of the One who’s hand causes promotion and blessing. A prideful heart is a far off from God, but a humble person He draws close.

5.  "Confront Your Comfort Zone."
What God has called you to do will always stretch you beyond your limits because He wants you to rely on Him throughout the adventure. Don’t be afraid to break out of your safety net and into the next season…no matter how much fear tries to creep in. What you will find is He will be the momentous force supporting your wings!

6.  "Identity in God, Not Church Culture."
Church community is vitally necessary for Christian growth but it is not where we build the foundation of our spiritual identity. Our identity is only safe when it is firmly planted in God and then out of our relationship with Him we minister. Church culture can be full of activity but lack the promotion of true intimacy with The Lord. You need to be balanced in both.
